In this example I’ve got two hooked editors on the go. The slider containing the water images underneath the menu comes from one, and the other has added “- Woohoo!” to the site title “Sneezing Trees”. Both these inclusions are shown on this page only.
I did all this as a user with Editor role, and here are the two hooked editors I used.
As per the instructions for the “Site title” editor, the content is added to the title rather than replacing it. And the editor is a plain text editor rather than the full WP editor.
The slider I’ve added using the “Images after main menu” editor, which I used in other examples. In this case though, there’s just the shortcode for a slider created using the popular Metaslider plugin.
There’s nothing new to the set-up for the “Images after main menu” editor. You can see how that was done in the example post where I added a gallery under the menu.
The “Site title” editor settings are a bit different though.
I’m using the
hootubix_site_title hook this time, and because it’s a filter (not an action) I’ve chosen “Filter” in the Hook type dropdown. That’s given me another dropdown called Content, and I’ve selected “Add after”, the other choices being “Add before” or “Replace existing”.
Lastly, because I want to limit the content to plain text, I’ve also selected the text editor and written the description accordingly.
